Senior Data Scientist
You will own the data science craft across client engagements — building forecasting models, recommendation systems, causal inference pipelines, and predictive scoring solutions that directly drive business decisions. You bring the rigour to turn raw data into measurable outcomes.
What you'll do
- Design and build predictive models: forecasting, scoring, recommendations, and pricing
- Own the full ML lifecycle from exploratory analysis to production-ready model deployment
- Apply causal inference and statistical methods to answer business questions with confidence
- Work closely with clients to understand their data landscape and define success metrics
- Document modelling decisions and communicate results clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Contribute to Optimetrics' internal ML tooling and best practices
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of data science or applied ML experience in a production environment
- Strong Python skills (pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, statsmodels)
- Deep knowledge of time-series forecasting, regression, and classification techniques
- Experience with causal inference methods (A/B testing, diff-in-diff, propensity scoring)
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client workstreams
Nice to have
- Experience with entity resolution, graph-based ML, or dynamic pricing models
- Familiarity with MLOps tools and model monitoring in production
- Exposure to LLM-based pipelines or AI agents
